Common Use Cases

Verify authentication context
If you are unsure which account is connected, My Profile shows the exact user and environment — useful when managing multiple connections.

Troubleshoot missing permissions
Compare your role list against the roles required for an operation. If a required role is missing, contact your Dataverse admin.

Check business unit assignment
Some record-level security is scoped to business units. Confirm you are in the correct unit if you cannot see expected records.

Confirm environment URL
Verify you are connected to the intended environment before running any write operations.
